Our Story.

Alejandro, Juan, and Darian met over six years ago in New York City and quickly bonded over their similar upbringings. Their families came from different parts of the world to build legacies of lasting significance in America. Over the years, as they gained experience, it became clear that their paths would lead them back to their family roots in small business ownership. As children to immigrant entrepreneurs, they remembered that growing up around small businesses taught them some of the most important life lessons that they carry to this day:

Three humble, experienced, and ambitious aspiring entrepreneurs (and Jax, our “barketing manager”)

Alejandro, a Partner at Harbor Street Capital, is the team's M&A deal architect and in-house entrepreneur. With over a decade of experience spanning M&A, corporate strategy, and operations, he brings a rare blend of deal-making expertise and entrepreneurial success. His proven track record building businesses and executing acquisitions makes him invaluable for business owners looking to scale and create value. Prior to HSC, Alejandro was a Director at Fanatics, a global sports-focused company, where he helped lead the company’s corporate strategy and M&A division. During his tenure, he played a key role in successfully executing a strategy that expanded the company's product suite from consumer goods into collectibles, and betting & gaming, which helped boost the company's valuation from $18B to $31B. Before joining Fanatics, Alejandro worked at Goldman Sachs's Investment Bank, where he advised Fortune 500 and fast-growing niche businesses on over $1B worth of M&A deals. Alejandro brings a wealth of experience ideating, executing, and implementing growth-oriented strategies. Beyond his corporate work, Alejandro is an entrepreneur at heart. He founded and grew Pierre Henry Socks, a direct-to-consumer brand that has sold over 200,000 pairs of socks globally. He spearheaded product launches, retail partnerships, and geographic expansion, proving his ability to scale businesses from the ground up. Alejandro holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Florida and an MBA from NYU Stern. He is a Venezuelan native who spent a decade living in NYC and now resides in Miami. Outside the office, Alejandro is a die-hard Florida Gators fan, an aspiring tennis "athlete", and an avid traveler who's already stamped his passport in over 30 countries.

Darian, a Partner at Harbor Street Capital, is the team's operational and legal expert with a passion for developing talent and creating operational excellence. Through his experience working directly with business owners to build a full-service property management business across the East Coast, he brings invaluable skills to help develop and execute on effective business strategies. Prior to HSC, he was a Managing Director at Alpine Lake Advisors, a single-family office. Darian’s responsibilities at Alpine Lake included managing the firm's 1,000,000+ square foot portfolio of retail, industrial, and multifamily properties. His role involved negotiating with national tenants like Five Below, Petsmart, and AT&T, while also nurturing relationships with small business owners. Before joining Alpine Lake Advisors, he worked at Goldman Sachs' Investment Banking Division and at McLaughlin & Stern LLP as a Legal Associate. He is a licensed attorney in the state of New York and began his career in sales. Darian holds a JD from New York University School of Law and graduated cum laude from Georgetown University with a BA in Political Economics. Darian is a native New Yorker and is a first generation Iranian-American. He is proficient in Farsi and Spanish. When he's not working at HSC, Darian indulges in his love for ping-pong, exploring New York’s culinary scene, and convincing everyone (unsuccessfully) that he’s the best tennis player in the group.
